Over the years, ARCHIPELAGO has added Cargo Handling, Worldwide Freight Forwarding and Courier Service to its operation. This includes Packing, Transportation, Warehousing, Stevedoring, Custom Clearance, Documentation and arranging Marine Insurance.
ARCHIPELAGO has grown from a small business with only 3 staff to the current strength of over 140 staff. From a Shipping Agent servicing just 2 voyages per month, we have grown in strength to servicing an average of ten (10) voyages per month with an impressive turnover of B$14 million in 2007. Subsequent to our rapid growth, we have increased our paid-up capital from B$50,000.00 to B$1,000.000.00 in August 1998.
Our swift expansion has not made us lose sight of our proven policy of maintaining a high level of efficiency, reliability, confidentiality and a personalized and realistic approach to handling business transactions and opportunities. In 1998, we implemented a Quality Management System to further enhance our competency. In line with the Quality Management System, a Business Management Policy has been successfully implemented with outstanding performance standards maintained.
